Think of Oh My Sitter as your babysitter search companion, not a babysitting agency.
We help parents discover sitter profiles, learn about their experience, and connect with potential caregivers across the Maldives. That's where our role ends.
What We Do Not Do
Employ Babysitters
Sitters are independent individuals, not our employees.
Arrange Bookings
All scheduling is coordinated directly between you.
Handle Payments
You pay sitters directly. No platform fees or commissions.
Manage Schedules
Arrangements for times and days are made outside our site.
Supervise Childcare
We are not present and do not supervise the care provided.
Act as an Agency
We do not mediate contracts or act as an intermediary.
Any discussions, interviews, agreements, payments, schedules, or childcare arrangements happen directly between parents and sitters outside of Oh My Sitter.
Identity Verification
Sitters submit a scanned National ID or Passport alongside a live selfie. Administrators confirm matches and verify mobile numbers via OTP before approving.
Reference Check
Sitters list reference contacts. Administrators reach out directly to confirm employment dates, care duties, reliability, and conduct before verification.
Vetted Certifications
Sitters upload nursing, CPR, or child first-aid credentials. We confirm the issuing entity and validity dates before awarding the verified badge.
Understanding Sitter Badges
Verification levels help parents select sitters according to their vetting requirements and preferences.
Awarded when identity verification is approved. It means we have validated their government documents and mobile number. Profiles must have this badge to appear publicly.
Awarded when a sitter has their identity verified and has successfully completed reference verification for childcare experience with a past employer.
The highest trust level. Awarded to sitters who are fully verified, have 3 or more verified reviews from parents, and maintain a 90% or higher recommendation rate.
Verified Doesn't Mean Guaranteed
We know trust matters when it comes to your little ones. That's why we may verify information provided by sitters, including identity, references, training and certifications, and supporting documents.
When a sitter receives a verification badge, it simply means we have reviewed and verified specific information provided to us. However, a badge is NOT:

We're building a trusted community, and we take reports seriously. If you spot a profile that seems fake or misleading, unsafe, fraudulent, inappropriate, or using false information, please report it to us.
Our team reviews reports and may investigate, suspend, restrict, or permanently remove profiles when necessary.
Privacy & Security

- 🔒 Reported sitters will not know who raised concerns.
- 🔒 We may act without notice when safety is at risk.
Responsibility & Liability
Oh My Sitter is not responsible or liable for any actions, omissions, negligence, misconduct, accidents, injuries, damages, losses, disputes, or incidents that may occur before, during, or after a babysitting/childcare arrangement.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Injury, illness, or accidents involving a child
- Damage to property or personal belongings
- Missed appointments, lateness, or no-shows
- Disagreements, misunderstandings, or disputes
- Negligence, misconduct, or failure to care
- Payment-related disagreements or losses
- Misrepresentation of qualifications or info
Parents are solely responsible for evaluating whether a sitter is suitable for their family, while sitters are responsible for ensuring they can safely and professionally provide the services they offer.
By using Oh My Sitter, both parents and sitters acknowledge that any childcare arrangement is entered into entirely at their own discretion and risk.
A Final Note
Finding childcare is a big decision. While we work hard to verify information and maintain a trustworthy directory, every hiring decision should be made carefully and independently by parents.
Take your time. Ask questions. Trust your instincts. After all, finding a sitter should be easy — choosing the right one should be thoughtful.
